Tools don’t make the artist, but the right ones make the work flow. Over ten years I’ve refined a toolkit that covers everything from early concepts to real-time experiences.
3ds Max for Building Worlds
3ds Max is my home base for modeling and animation. I use it for products, characters and full environments, and its flexibility keeps it at the center of my pipeline.
The Core Stack
Around it, three tools do most of the heavy lifting.
Redshift: A powerful GPU-accelerated render engine for fast, realistic results.
Unity: Real-time 3D for games, simulations, AR and interactive experiences across platforms.
Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere for texturing, compositing, motion graphics and editing.
Choosing Tools for the Job
I pick software based on the final destination. A campaign film needs a different setup than an AR filter, so the pipeline adapts while the craft stays the same.
Always Learning
New tools appear every month. I test the promising ones on personal projects before bringing them into client work.
That way clients get innovation without the risk.
Curious about a specific part of my setup? Send me a message and I’ll cover it in a future note.
