Miniclout was my own project: a 1-of-1 NFT collection launched on the Bitclout blockchain. No client brief, no safe template. Just a question I wanted to answer: what makes a single digital piece feel truly unique?
One Piece, One Personality
In a 1-of-1 collection, every piece has to stand on its own. There are no siblings to lean on, so each character needed a strong personality, a clear silhouette and a story worth owning.
How I Built It
The process followed my usual pipeline, with a few twists for Web3.
Concept: Quick sketches to find characters with distinct attitudes and quirks.
Craft: Modeling, texturing and lighting each piece individually instead of generating variations.
Presentation: Renders framed and colored to look great as tiny thumbnails and full-screen pieces.
What Web3 Taught Me
Collectors care about craft, but they also care about the story behind it. Sharing the process openly became part of the value.
Looking Back
Miniclout led directly to bigger Web3 work, including the Exclusible ALPHA collection.
More importantly, it reminded me why personal projects matter: they’re where you take the risks clients can’t.
I’ll share more about digital collections and Web3 visuals in future notes.
